Ready to take your certification exam?

Email Dr. Dufault at rdufault@atsu.edu and ask her to send the rubric. Using the rubric you will create an educational tool that accomplishes the following learning objectives: 

1. Describe one gene impacted by 1-2 toxic elements, residues or ingredients.

2. Provide an example of two food products that are known to contain the toxic element, residue or ingredient.

3. Describe how we know exposure to this toxic substance and its subsequent impact on gene behavior is associated with the development of a disease or disorder.

4. Explain what essential minerals the body needs to support the production of the protein associated with this gene.

5. Provide recommendations for whole food sources that provide these essential minerals. 

You will share your project with your classmates in two weeks.
